The
Chatham Seaside Links was built in 1895 as part of the Chatham
Bars Inn resort but the course has since been taken over by the
town of Chatham. It is a compact, very playable 9-hole course that
is centrally located right in downtown Chatham. Though
it is a smaller course golfers of all levels are sure to find some
challenges here and getting matched with a 3-some is never too
long a wait. The
holes consist of mostly par 3's and 4's. Though the course has in the past taken some heat for the consistency of its maintanence and the
presence of astro turf on some holes, that has of late been changing. See the recent letter-to-the-editor below for details.
Many
visitors spend a morning here every day of the week and then have
the rest of the day left for beaches and exploring Chatham. Carts
are available.
Tip: Check
out the great view from the top of the 7th green.

Letter to the Editor, Cape Cod Chronicle- November 16, 2006
One year ago today I penned a letter of concerns to you about the poor conditions at the Seaside Links. May I take this opportunity to congratulate you, and all concerned, on the wonderful turnaround of conditions at "our" town golf course. From the well groomed and seasonally decorated approach, to the warm reception from welcoming employees at check in, to the hard working yet friendly grounds crew, to the well manicured and maintained tee boxes, fairways and greens, to the now bona fide sandy traps, and the nicely pruned and cleaned out margin areas all of which make for a challenging, fun experience at Seaside links. It is both gratifying and appreciated to know the rapidly deteriorating conditions at the course of a year ago have been addressed and remedied in a concerted, professional manner.
May I take this opportunity to publicly thank all who contributed to this timely turnaround; you, the golf committee and Sport Management, are to be commended for your diligence. Seaside Links is truly a (emerald!) gem in the center of Chatham for residents and visitors alike to fully enjoy. Thanks again for making golf here at home so enjoyable.
