This beach is a smaller family-oriented beach, situated next to Forest Street Beach on the warm, calm waters of Nantucket Sound and at the end of Pleasant Street in South Chatham. Unlike the larger town beaches it features free parking for a limited amount of cars on a first-come first-served basis. 

It's a great retreat from the crowds of Hardings and Ridgevale beaches, but in contrast, there are no lifguards, bathrooms or snack bar.   Keep the kids happy with treats from the ice-cream truck, which does make frequent stops.

It makes a great launch toward Monomoy or Whychmere Harbor for sailboats and kayaks and has been known as a favorite spot for professional wind surfers and para-surfers.  Those who rent or live in the neighborhood should not miss the gorgeous sunsets here and it's also a popular moonlight stroll for those who rent or live in the area.
