Your Guide to Restrooms in Downtown Chatham, MA

You can see the locations of both public restrooms in downtown Chatham, the first in the Chatham Town Hall Parking Lot and the second in Kate Gould Park.  Each building has one restroom for each gender. 

The availability of public restrooms in Chatham has been something of a problem in the summer months.  In the winter only the town hall restroom is open year round and this is enough for our year round population of about 6,500.  However, even when the recently- built second restroom building is open in the summer it's not quite enough to service the in-season population of 30,000 and all the weekend daytrippers.  It's also difficult for the general businesses downtown to offer bathroom facilities to general foot traffic.

The solution?  Have lunch or a snack at any of the great restaurants and be a "paying" customer. 

 

The main year-round restrooms available downtown are behind the Chatham Town Hall Offices.	There are two bathrooms here, enough in the winter but they can get over crowded in the summer.
The second public bathrooms available downtown at the back of Kate Gould Park, off Chatham Bars Ave ( (visible at right of photo).	This second public bathroom facility was built several years ago.  They're very nice not open for most of the year.
